Basketball game against Turner

                                                                                                                   

Last week Thursday girls basketball had a game against Beloit Turner. In the first three quarters it was pretty even us getting points them getting points and throughout the game they would get more points and then there were times where we would get more points. In the last quarter we both had about the same points and in the last minutes of the game we were wining so we couldn't foul or let them have shots and we played good defence and did the plays slow on offense, didn't rush them and we won.

Basketball game at McFarland last week Tuesday

Last week Tuesday I had a game at Mcfarland. I was really nervous of course but I was excited. In the first three quarters we were doing ok getting some shots and doing ok on defense but we were losing by a lot but in the fourth quarter we came back. We did our press break we had a lot of steels which lead to a lot of points. We hustled, and at the end of the game we only lost by a few points.

Tonight I have my first game against McFarland. I am nervous, but at the same time I am ready and can't wait. My favorite part in basketball is defence, because I have the most strength in that and I like to steal the ball away. I like all the plays we do, but my favorite is pickn' pop, because thats where all of are 3's are hit and it gives a perfect chance to shoot and get a lot of points. I can't wait and I think we will do good.

                                                                               

Basketball practice

I didnt have a game this week but I had practice on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The practice I am going to talk about is Wednesday. It was fun we did some drills then for the last half hour we did fun drills like PIG, and a couple of drills I cant remember the names of. If you have every played PIG it is so much fun. Whoever is first shoots where ever they want and if they make it the next person has to make it or else they get a P, and they get two more letters till they're out. I didnt win but it was fun, and had a good practice. 

What I am thankful for

I am thankful for my parents and my brother who is in college right know. I am also thankful for the food that is put on the table every day. I am thankful for the friends I have and that I know my friends will be there for me. I am thankful for having a school that teaches me things. I am thankful for having a roof over my head. I am thankful for getting to be with family for every holiday. I am thankful for knowing that if I need anything or if I need to go somewhere after sports or anything  my grandparents are there for me. I am thankful that I live in the United States.

First scrimmage in high school basketball

On Saturday the 19th I had my first high school basketball scrimmage. I was really nervous, and our whole team got there a hour early to learn our plays. Once it got really close to game time the other team wasn't there yet so we waited and did drills. After a little while the team got there and we started. Even though we didnt keep track of the points I think our team did really good for our first scrimmage and won the first game.
